Supertrend Strategy Tips
I’ve been experimenting with different indicators, but I keep hearing traders rave about the Supertrend. Some say it’s amazing for spotting entries, others say it lags too much. Has anyone here actually used the Supertrend in their day-to-day trading, and if so, how do you make it work best?

I started using the Supertrend indicator after reading up on how it combines ATR with price action to generate trend signals. The way it flips from green to red (or vice versa) helped me catch trend changes much more clearly than with just moving averages. The trick is adjusting the ATR multiplier and period so it doesn’t give you too many false signals in choppy markets. In one of my trades, the Supertrend flipped just before a downtrend — I exited right in time and avoided a big drawdown. At the same time, in sideways markets it sometimes whipsaws you — so I started combining it with support/resistance to filter out noise.
