How to learn to manage your emotions?

I feel like my emotions are just consuming me. I can get angry about little things or worry too much about things that are not worth attention. I tried meditation and a diary of emotions, but it lasts a few days at most. Then I forget again or do not see the result. I want to find something more structured that will really help me understand myself and learn to react more calmly. Maybe someone has already gone through something like this and found an effective way to control emotions without a psychologist?

One app really helped me, although I used to be skeptical about them. Look at liven reviews - that's where I first heard about Liven. It's not just a mood tracker, but a whole self-development system. There are short courses, tests, it helps to build habits and understand your emotional triggers. For example, I realized that my stress starts with specific recurring situations, and I learned to recognize and prevent them. I wouldn't say that my life has become perfect, but I've become calmer, learned to manage my time better, and stopped blaming myself for resting.
