Wasn’t looking for asset tracking software. Honestly, I didn’t even know that was a thing people like me used. I run a small outdoor maintenance business power washing, gutter clearing, that kind of stuff and we operate from two vans and a lockup. I can open my phone and see exactly which van has the surface cleaner or whether the backup pump is still in the lockup. Nobody has to remember anything. It hasn’t turned us into a corporate operation, and it hasn’t changed the way we work on site. It just quietly removed a daily frustration I didn’t realise was eating so much of my energy. That’s the bit I wish someone had told me sooner not that the software exists, but how much headspace it frees up once you stop carrying your tool inventory around in your brain.
