I was talking with my cousin last weekend about care options for our grandfather, and the topic of Certified Nursing Assistants came up. He still lives at home and prefers it that way, but some daily things have started to become harder for him, like preparing proper meals or remembering when to take his medication. My cousin mentioned that a CNA might be able to help with those routines, but I realized I don’t actually know what their typical day looks like when they work with seniors at home. Do they mostly focus on personal care like bathing and dressing, or do they also help with meals, small household tasks, and keeping someone company during the day? I’d be interested to hear how it usually works in real life.
